Ernie, So good to hear from you too. I am related to Jimmy Waters, his father and my father were brothers. We were all raised in East Gadsden. I along with my family and all of the Waters and my mother's family Huff's attended the East Gadsden Methodist church. I as I said have not done to much on my geneology lately, but am anxious to get started back. I have a picture of William Morrison Abel and his son Dennis Crosby Abel and some of the children. I will be happy to send you a picture of him.
I do beleive my father in law's sister Sadie Eubanks had a picture of him and his wife Regina Colvin but I do not know what happened to it. I was told that Bill Abel's widow has a picture also, but so far I do not know of anyone that she has allowed to copy it. You may try, I have not had any luck. I assume she and her family think they are the only descendants of William Morrison Abel. Let me hear from you again. Did you find out if any of the Abel's fought in the Revolutionary War? My son is going in the SAR on the Colvin line, would like to also do a supplemental if we can on the Abel line. Thanks for the info on the Abel's. If you want a copy of the picture, let me know also.
