I am posting this for a friend, Barbara, who is grasping at straws in the search for information on her grandparents. Her father was Otis Carl HEIBERT ( pronounced ABEAR in French) . Otis was born Sept 6, 1916 in TX. Otis died in Galveston, TX on 1 Aug. 1960. His death certificate says that his father was R. J. HEIBERT and his mother was Loretta THOMPSON Heibert both born in TX. Since Otis died so young he did not draw Social Security so is not listed on the SSDI. Did any of your ABEARs go by a different spelling? JoAnn Cantrell, n5tfc@edumaster.net
