Hi Shaun, Harry & Frank Abbs are my great uncles (my mother Ellen May Gosling (nee Wilson) is their niece. They had 3 sisters, Ellen May Abbs (married George Wilson), Alice Kate Abbs (handicapped) & Minnie, Minnie was the only one that stayed in England when they all left. Harry did go to the Boer War (my grandfather showed him how to jump on a horse as he had never even been on a horse!) Their parents names are Emma Becham(?) & Jacob Abbs. My grandmother was born May 4, 1881, in Norwich, Norfolk, England. Do you know my mother's cousin Charles Abbs who lives in Tisdale, Sask & is Harry's son? Frank Abbs, George & Ellen May (Abbs) Wilson, with Alice Kate Abbs, moved to Prince George, BC in approx 1921 & farmed on adjacent farms. Harry married Charlotte Wheeler (a widow with 1 daughter Patty(Patricia?) who was sent back to England during the 1930's. Frank Abbs died around 1930 at his farm in BC.
