Hi, Francis Abbs was born about 1806 and died on 23 Nov 1884. He married Elizabeth Hindry in Bodham Norfolk England on 24 Apr 1827. Francis' parents were Richard Abbs 1766 - 1831 and Elizabeth Ward 1767 - 1847. They had 10 children: Ann b.1827, Maria b.1830, Elizabeth b.1831, Francis b.1835, George b.1837, Elizabeth Phillis b.1840, Louisa b.1843, Emma b.1844, Mahala Dorcas b.1849 and Rebekah b.1851.
Francis lived in Runton all his life and farmed 40 acres on average, employing a man and a boy . On the 1861 census he is documented as being the resident Methodist Preacher as well as a farmer
