I began researching the Abbitt family tree at the beginning of 2003 and have made a satisfying amount of progress having traced my ancestors back to the late 1700s. I am collecting any item of information relating to the Abbitts in the hope that everything will fit together eventually, although I am initially concentrating on the UK details.
My own ancestors have lived in Maidstone, Kent, England since the early 1900s. Prior to that my ancestors were concentrated around Deptford, now part of South London, for at least a further 100 years.
I would be delighted to hear from anybody with any Abbitt information on tony.abbitt@lineome.net.
