hi I have been trying to research my abbey family history as alot of people say we look native american or spanish, but once i get back to Robert Abbey born 1850 in monkwearmouth co durham i come up blank there is nothing he just disappears. i dont know what to do next. i have searched census records before and after and he only seems to show up in 1911 records as 51 yrs old and an iron monger and nothing before and nothing since. any help would be great thanx xx
