Hi Paul,
I sent you my e-mail address, but I wanted to tell you that I was able to find Marshall Abbey with wife and 3 children in the 1870 U.S. Census. They were living in Marlette, Michigan. That is in Sanilac Co., Marlette Twp..
George was one of the children, as was Sarah. My husband descends from Sarah. I may have found Gratia's parents in the same Census. Do you know what her parents names are?
Gratia J. Abbey can be found as a widow in the 1900 U.S. Census, in the same area.
Jennifer and Adam
