There is now an Abbett Family Project where you can list your direct line by earliest ancestor and see who is researching other families of interest to you (on the Patriarch Page). We'll also list your name and provide your email address so that interested researchers can contact you.

We have had wonderful results on the first three family projects where I have done this. It has really stimulated sharing and interest in working out the “paper trails”. Here’s a link to my Hodges family project, so that you can see what a project looks like after folks get involved:

You'll also find a Surname DNA Project has been started. This can be very helpful to traditional research and exciting as folks find their genetically related families and join together for further traditional research.
