I recently was told by a wonderful man that Peter J. Abbett and Amanda Dillon might be grandparents to my Laura A. "Nettie" Abbott/Abbett b about 1850 - 55 (my guess). she married Adam Edgar Walker of Etowah County, AL Feb 1871 and had four children, Irene b 1872, Donald Q b 1874, Samuel henry b 1876/7 and Harry b 1878.
Census says she was born in GA. I have six other surnames in her area that came from Old Campbell County GA so there must be some sort of major migration trail through there.
One source sent the names of four of Peter and Amanda's children as:
Walton D b 1826 - 30( ?)
Simeon b 1832
John b 1834
Amanda b 1839
Are there more children of this union? Does anyone have the names of the children of these children of Peter and Amanda? Or does anyone have a Laura A.? Thanks, Pam at
