Willian Abbett, in the 1850 Johnson County, Indiana census was born in Henry County, KY. He was the oldest son of James and Ann Abbett. William Abbett married Mary Ann (Polly) Wooley on 2/21/1821 in Henry County, KY.

Their Children were Jonathan b. abt 1822, John W. b. 1832, Elizabeth, b. 1835, Thomas J. b. Oct. 1837, Margaret b. 1841 and Andrew J. b. 1846
