Karen,
I THINK this might be some of what you're looking for:
This is from a copy of Forks of Elkhorn (KY) that I have. I believe, but have not demonstrated adequately, that the Elizabeth Abbett(also spelled Abbott in some places) married William MILES, MY ggggrandfather. If I'm correct, they were in Franklin County, KY when they married. I'm betting that Elizabeth was born in Spotsylvania County, VA. Again, I don't know that for certain.
Lewis Pines, Jr., a half brother (brother-in-law?) of William Hall, in his will Spotsylvania County, Virginia, 1787, indicates that his sister Nancy m James Abbett. James was in F (that is Franklin County, KY) 1796, and the records imply that some of their children were: 1 James, Jr., 2, Garnett,3, Peggy Miles 4, Elizabeth Miles, 5, William m Lorena Wade, F 1814. Jonathan Abbett m Nancy Oliver, F 1809 and went to Henry. Fanny Abbett Neal was a stepdaughter of William Hickman.
Feel free to e-mail me privately if you would prefer.
