A friend of mine who's maiden name is Abbe, has said that family tale is that there were two brothers (both started with a J) & one of them started one of the towns named Abbeville. The other is her ancestor. She also was told she was decendent from the Mayflower. My research into my own line (Edgerton) has proven the Mayflower info. But which Abbeville? Can anyone share this story with me? Thanks & Happy Hunting.
