Hello,
I am a friend of the daughter of Vernice Kern.
My friend just celebrated her 50th birthday.
She wants very much to find her father.
She didn't find out until she applied for a marriage license that the man that raised her was not her biological father.
She kept hoping that someday her mom would be able to talk about it.
To this day, Vernice will not tell my friend who her father is.
The man may not even know that he has a daughter.
Vernice Kern was living in Merced, CA when she got pregnant.
She was single.
Vernice and this man had to have been seeing each other around May-July of 1948.
We think the man was in the service.
Do you know who this man could be?
My friend really wants to find him and meet him.
