Upon the death of Thomas Rogers of Billerica MA, Cato (called servant) chose Edward Pollard of Billerica as his guardian,June 8th 1784.
Boston, April 29 1787.
Edward Pollard, guardian, paid to Cato Rogers, forty pounds, seven shillings and eight pence "in full of what my master Thomas Rogers of Billerica late of Billerica...gave me in his last will,...I say rec'd by me Cato Rogers

Cato Rogers, sick in Gen'l hospital. A private, listed in the muster roll of Capt. Tobias Fernald's Company in Colonel Edmund Phinney's Regiment. Garrison at Fort George Dec.8th 1776.
