Hi, Connie: Years ago "Life" or maybe "Look" magazine ran an article complete with photos about a village in South America (Ecuador or Bolivia?) where the people claimed incredible life spans. As best I can recall, some claimed to be in the 130+ year old range. I believe some scientists/doctors later checked into the claims and found that they were without foundation. Yes, the people were very "old" (80s-90s) by their country's life span standards and they sure LOOKED weather-beaten and old but nowhere as aged as they claimed.

The subject of this particular newspaper article took it a step further with the claim of 38 children - I sure feel sorry for them - having to spend their entire lives walking around with those silly "Hello, my name is..." tags. Ridiculous.
