AMEN! I just about fell out of my chair laughing when I first read this... I can almost guarantee this woman did not have 38 children and live to tell about it....It would seem to to me that if there was a person alive in 1900, 120 something years old that would be big news even for the census bureau. The oldest documented "per census" living person in Guntersville Marshall ala in 1900 was a Wm McIntosh black male 100 years old, wife Malinda b July 1832 Georgia bore 2 children There are some people in ALA supposedly over 100 yrs old in the 1900 census but none that fit her description and most of the census info isnt clear.
