It was suggested in a Dec 2008 article that white Americans read some black literature.

I had read the classics in black literature.

This year I have read:

Helene Cooper: The House on Sugar Beach
Toni Morrison: Beloved
Toni Morrison: A Mercy

It was very enlightening.

I have also read most of the Obama books.

I hope I am a more understanding and compassionate person. My family was very liberal. I always went out of my way to be nice to minorities.

Now I do not consider minorities - we are all just people.

Cheers!

Sherry
