Bruno from Missouri...
Looking for the Bruno family from Kentucky/Missouri, or to possibly prove or disprove their existance.
I've been hunting for William Bruno, b ~1880 in NM.In looking at one particular census I noticed that Will Bruno started to tell the census taker that he was born in Santa Rita (at least that's what it looks like..) but the census taker marked-out Santa Rita and entered New Mexico. so on a whim I decided to see if there was a Santa Rita in New Mexico...and there WAS a Santa Rita NM in 1880,BUT there was no Bruno on the transcribed listing, only a Burns. So I looked at the census anyway and found a Charles Burns OR Bruno, depending on what you want to make of the handwriting. He was Black, living with his Mexican wife Alvina (from Chihuahua) and children Margurite and William.Wondering if anyone ever heard of these Burns/Brunos?This Charles says he was born in Missouri in 1847, and he says his parents were born in Kentucky.I don't know if he had siblings.Anyone ever heard of Charles Bruno from Missouri, parents from Kentucky?
thanks,
Juanita
