Any references to Menzies from North Carolina

I would like to hear from anyone who has run across a Menzies/Minzes/Minges/Mings in the Seven Years War from North or South Carolina. I am principally interested in Andrew Menzies the father of Joseph Minzes/Minges who lived in Rowan County N.C. and is said to have been in Braddock's campaign but would like to know of any similar names you may find.
